Partner / affiliate agreement

This is the payout contract for anyone who mints a Park Desk agent code. Signing it in Account (or checking “I am a travel agent” and later accepting the contract) means you agree to these rules. You are an independent contractor, not an employee of The Park Desk, and not a Disney agent by virtue of this desk. Tagged share links stay locked until you accept this agreement.

1. The code

• Your unique CW-XXXX is minted when you create the agent account. You do not pick the letters.
• The code is yours alone. Do not share, sell, or rent it. Two agencies cannot share one code.
• Clients open your link (?ref=CW-XXXX). First-touch on that device is what ties a later booking.
• Readers never pay for the wire. You never charge a client to read The Park Desk.

2. What you earn — travel affiliate only

You earn a split of The Park Desk’s travel-affiliate share when a client books through your tagged link and the supplier confirms. You earn nothing on reader plans — The Park Desk does not sell Alerts, Desk, trip passes, or trials. Reading the news desk pays $0.

“CW share” is what the supplier pays The Park Desk on a confirmed booking. Hotels, resorts, packages, and cruises pay you 50% of that share. Tickets pay you 40%. Posted CPA pays you 100% of the posted amount — The Park Desk keeps none of it. Live payouts use the confirmed supplier amount, not the sample. Reading the wire pays $0.

3. Payouts

• Monthly ACH to the deposit on file, $25 minimum. Under $25 rolls to the next month.
• You must accept this contract and certify a W-9 (or equivalent) before the first payout.
• Copy tools for tagged links stay locked until this contract is accepted on Account.
• The Park Desk stores last-four only of tax and bank identifiers on the desk.
• The 1099 worksheet in Account is for your bookkeeping. A real 1099-NEC is issued if US totals meet the IRS threshold. That worksheet is not a filing.

4. Clawbacks

A commission can be reversed, withheld, or netted against later payouts when:

• The booking is cancelled, refunded, or charged back within 90 days of supplier confirmation.
• The request is fraudulent, a duplicate, or a self-referral meant to farm commission.
• The client never completed the reservation (request only, failed supplier, voided hold).
• You induced the click with a fake CastleWire site, a spoofed Disney page, or stolen traffic.
• You violate the branding rules below after a written warning, or immediately for a serious fake-official claim.

Disputed bookings stay in “held” until the supplier closes them. We do not pay on held rows. Already-paid clawbacks come out of the next ACH, or we invoice you if you have left.

5. Branding — what you may and may not say

• You may say you recommend CastleWire, send your unique link, and use the pitch already on Account.
• You must say the news desk is free, and that CastleWire is independent and not Disney.
• You must not use Disney logos, the mouse-head, official park artwork, or language like “official Disney app,” “Disney partner,” or “we run the parks blog.”
• You must not reprint full source articles. CastleWire itself only teases and links out — you do the same.
• You must not collect cards “for CastleWire” or for Disney. Travel is booked through you and your supplier.
• You must not register domains or social handles that impersonate CastleWire or Disney.
• You must not tell a client they have to pay CastleWire to read the wire.

6. Ending it

Either party may end this arrangement at any time. Your code is retired. Earned, unclawed commissions above the $25 minimum still pay on the next cycle. The Terms of Service and Privacy Policy still apply to your login.
